Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health and emotional well-being through virtual consultations.
  • Design and implement tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at helping clients achieve their mental health goals.
  • Monitor patient progress by conducting regular follow-up sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address their evolving needs.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies to create a supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and specialists, to ensure a coordinated approach to each patient's care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our EHR system.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, including adolescents and adults facing a range of mental health challenges. Our patients come from various cultural backgrounds and may require therapy for issues such as trauma, relationship difficulties, and co-occurring disorders. Your role will empower clients by providing them with the therapeutic tools and support needed to navigate their paths toward healing and self-discovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in California.
  • A proven track record of at least two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on building trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and an understanding of telehealth practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Strong background in working with culturally diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time Mental Health Counselor position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a competitive part-time salary of USD 65,000 annually for those seeking a more flexible engagement.
