THE ROLE

We're seeking a relationship-driven, strategic Senior Account Manager to own client strategy, GMV growth outcomes, and team leadership for an assigned portfolio - setting the direction that Account Managers and Associates execute against, and serving as the client's primary trusted advisor.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running TikTok Shop accounts, plus a background in commerce, affiliate marketing, or growth strategy, and is comfortable managing a team and partnering across a cross-functional org to drive results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Client Strategy & Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for the client relationship, building long-term partnerships with realistic but ambitious goals.
• Set the account strategy and educate clients on the TikTok Shop ecosystem and growth levers.

GMV Growth Accountability

• Own GMV growth outcomes across an assigned portfolio of client accounts.
• Analyze content, competitor, and promo landscapes to identify what's driving or blocking growth, and adjust strategy accordingly.

Team Leadership & Portfolio Oversight

• Manage and develop the Account Managers and/or Associates supporting your portfolio - reviewing their work, providing feedback, and maintaining a high quality bar across deliverables.
• Serve as the final internal escalation point before agency leadership, resolving risks and blockers raised by your team.

Strategic Reporting & Insight

• Turn validated performance data (GMV, orders, CVR, AOV, traffic, promo, content, and LIVE performance) into strategic recommendations, not just summaries.
• Present a clear point of view to the client on what to do next, driving the following cycle of decisions.

Affiliate Strategy Input

• Interpret affiliate performance trends to inform overall account strategy, flagging opportunities or risks to the affiliate function rather than owning recruitment directly.

Growth, Cross-Sell & Campaign Strategy

• Proactively identify growth opportunities and additional ways to support the client, including upsells and cross-sells.
• Design and evaluate offer/promotion strategy - promo structures, campaign timing, and bundle strategy - tied clearly to GMV goals.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Partner with Affiliate, Paid Media, Account Managers, and Shop Ops to align on client strategy and keep execution moving smoothly across teams.
• Align with the VP of Accounts on account strategies, growth opportunities, and long-term client success.

Account Health & Churn Prevention

• Monitor account health signals - engagement, satisfaction, and performance trend - and act early on any warning signs to keep client relationships stable and growing.
  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Experience

• At least 2+ years of hands-on TikTok Shop management experience.
• 4+ years in account management, client services, e-commerce, or growth-focused roles.
• Strong understanding of social commerce, TikTok Shop, affiliate programs, and direct-response strategies.
• Exceptional soft skills - communication, adaptability, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
• Experience working with brands on growth-focused campaigns (not traditional media buying).
• Ability to analyze KPIs and campaign performance and turn data into strategic insights.
• Passion for digital marketing, emerging commerce trends, and client success.

Desired Experience

• Work experience at TikTok (the platform/company) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of TikTok Shop and social commerce trends.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
