Signature Homes is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator in our Birmingham, AL market. This in-office position, based in our Hoover, AL office will support recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and daily HR operations.  The HR Coordinator serves as a key resource for candidates and employees while helping create an exceptional workplace culture and employee experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, background checks, and offer administration.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools 
  • Lead onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a positive and seamless start.
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, company events, team outings, recognition programs, and employee communications.
  • Manage employee technology and equipment administration, including phones, computers, and mobile devices.
  • Maintain HR records, reports, personnel files, and other administrative processes.
  • Administer the company store and employee appreciation programs.
  • Process department expense reports.
  • Assist with HR reporting, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR technology platforms; ADP experience a plus!
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Passion for creating a positive employee experience and workplace culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred, or two years of related human resources experience.
