• Support the Corporate Security Department through investigations, physical security, threat management, and workplace safety programs


• Assist in developing policies and procedures for physical security, workplace safety, investigation management, and threat management


• Generate and review reports, including follow-up with governmental agencies such as the Secret Service


• Create presentations for management review


• Maintain databases and review them for accuracy, patterns, and deficiencies


• Review reports and system access to detect inappropriate or fraudulent activity and report findings to management


• Support the Corporate Security Manager with internal and external fraud investigations


• Research and document cases and coordinate with management to minimize financial impact


• Review vendor contracts as needed


• Support project management for physical security system installations, including access control, CCTV, DVR, and intrusion alarms


• Develop procedures related to security systems


• Troubleshoot security equipment and address security and safety concerns for employees across locations


• Travel to NBT office locations for physical security and safety checks, investigations, repairs, and security presence


• Serve as backup to the Visit Center Coordinator


• Enforce Bank Protection Act regulations


• Investigate embezzlement, internal and external fraud, forgery, and kiting; interview suspects and document findings


• Coordinate with law enforcement investigators and related entities


• Review internal fraud monitoring reports to identify and mitigate fraud events


• Provide program management and administrative support, including annual Corporate Security, quarterly committee, and monthly reports


• Provide supervisory support when the Corporate Security Manager is absent


• Assist with corporate security and safety training, including emergency preparedness, fire safety, and workplace violence


• Administer the company’s ATM Security program and communicate changes to Operations and Branch Operational Support


• Perform other duties assigned by Corporate Security Management

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, security management, criminal justice, or another related field, or equivalent amount of education and experience


• Minimum 3 years of experience in Banking Operations, Corporate Security, and/or Risk Management


• In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations and federal, state, local, and criminal statutes


• Valid driver’s license


• Knowledge of investigation techniques and physical security best practices


• Ability to analyze detailed transactions, documents, and reports to identify problems


• Knowledge of accounting, auditing, operations, and compliance processes and their interaction with the security function


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Strong people skills and professional executive presence


• Ability to multitask while working with various security systems


• Understanding of core banking systems for investigative purposes


• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency


• Knowledge of relational databases such as Aithent


• Project- and task-oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills


• Initiative-taking and self-managed, able to perform duties with little supervision


• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm during emergencies


• Experience in financial fraud, report writing, case management, and investigations


• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers


• Ability to remain stationary 75% or more of the time


• Ability to move objects up to 10 lbs
