Title: Recruiter
Position Summary
The Construction Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for construction and skilled trades positions. This role partners closely with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and ensure timely staffing of projects. The ideal candidate has experience recruiting for construction, engineering, skilled trades, or industrial environments and understands the unique challenges of workforce planning in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for construction and skilled trades positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
· Develop and maintain candidate pipelines
· Utilize job boards, social media, networking events, trade schools, unions, and employee referrals to source candidates.
· Manage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and maintain accurate recruiting records.
· Attend job fairs, industry events, and community outreach programs to build talent pipelines.
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company hiring policies.
· Track recruiting metrics and provide regular reports on hiring activity, time-to-fill, and candidate pipeline status.
· Support workforce planning initiatives to meet project schedules and labor demands.
Required Qualifications
· 2+ years of recruiting experience; construction, skilled trades, engineering, or industrial recruiting experience strongly preferred.
· Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms.
· Strong sourcing, interviewing, and relationship-building skills.
· Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple openings and prioritize competing demands.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and recruiting software.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience recruiting for high-volume skilled trades positions.
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
