SharpLane Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments with new clients to evaluate their mental health status, gathering comprehensive information to inform treatment planning.

• Design and implement individualized therapy plans that address clients’ specific challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions through virtual platforms, offering both individual counseling and group therapy when appropriate.

• Monitor clients' progress and modify therapeutic approaches as needed, maintaining an open line of communication to provide support and encouragement.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and treatment methodologies in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse clientele within the community, including individuals facing mental health disorders, trauma, and emotional challenges. Clients may present with varying backgrounds, requiring a culturally sensitive approach to therapy that recognizes and respects their unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic techniques and client engagement.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatment approaches effectively.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, with a focus on culturally responsive methods.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction and rapport-building with clients and team members.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong comfort level with technology to document services and track client progress.

• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries throughout client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.

• Experience working in a community health setting with diverse patient populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, which reflects the experience and qualifications of the ideal candidate. In addition, a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available upon hiring.
