Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still engaging in collaborative team efforts. You will work closely with a diverse group of professionals, including psychiatrists and other mental health therapists, to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Regular meetings and consultations are held to ensure that treatment plans are holistic and integrated.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients experiencing mood disorders, utilizing standardized tools to assess symptom severity and impact on daily functioning.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood-related issues.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care practices to enhance their overall well-being.
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure that clients receive a cohesive and comprehensive care experience.
• Remain informed about the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment, integrating new knowledge into your therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments to comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Take part in case consultations and continuous professional development to further enhance clinical competencies.
• Advocate for clients by promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Your dedicated intervention can lead to significant improvements in their quality of life. Our patient population is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to provide culturally competent care tailored to individual backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorders is preferred.
• Proficiency with evidence-based modalities for treating mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with medical professionals regarding medication management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and client tracking.
• Background in group therapy facilitation.
