About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bridal Seamstress / Alterations Specialist to join our team.

This role focuses on high-quality alterations for bridal gowns and formalwear. It requires advanced skill, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with clients during fittings.

This is a position for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of getting it right—especially when it matters most.

This is not a beginner role

This is not a “quick fix” alterations position

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality alterations on bridal gowns and formalwear
• Conduct fittings with professionalism and confidence
• Pin, mark, and execute alterations accurately
• Work with delicate fabrics, lace, beading, and structured garments
• Ensure proper fit, balance, and finish on all garments
• Meet timelines while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate clearly with team members regarding workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Uphold Sew Fabulous quality and customer experience standards

• Proven experience in bridal and formal alterations (non-negotiable)
• Strong fitting skills and understanding of garment construction
• Experience working with complex and delicate fabrics
• High attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing craftsmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Salary depending on experience and is above average.

Top performers who demonstrate exceptional skill, efficiency, and client handling may earn at the higher end of the range.
