Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Transporting staff and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Assisting with the loading and offloading of luggage, products, and materials.
- Maintain a professional image and attitude towards clients and coworkers.
- Complete daily vehicle pretrip and post trip inspections and document and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
- Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
- Promptly informing the company of any ticket's issues against the company vehicle during work hours.
- Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
- Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle's coming and goings.
- Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
- Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).
- Must be able to accurately complete activity logs vehicle reports.
- Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices and cell phones.
- Perform all duties as assigned by Seventy Times Seven Wellness Mission.
- Must be physically able to step up and down steps and safely secure clients for transport.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record. *Must be provided annually.
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
- The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.
- Effective communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Must pass a State of Maryland background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Working Conditions
- Working in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for hours.
- Ability to work the hours necessary to complete the work.
