Job Description

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Sevaa's hosting infrastructure.

Responsibilities: 

• Design & Implement a next-generation DevOps Pipeline to include, standardized configuration, automated testing (security, static code, e2e, accessibility, SEO), automated reporting, infrastructure monitoring & self-healing.
• Maintain existing infrastructure delivering managed WordPress & Drupal hosting.
• Evaluate current local development environment and implement improvements
• Contribute to Documentation Library on infrastructure, internal policies, and procedures.
• Virtualization platform evaluation
• Infrastructure monitoring evaluation
• Ensure documentation of Sevaa Network is accurate and kept up to date

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. 
• Self-driven with a growth mindset and a proven track record of self-improvement.
• Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
• Familiarity with Privacy Laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA with an understanding of how to implement compliant solutions. 
• A deep understanding of performance metrics and techniques to improve them through various methods such as caching, preprocessing images, efficient search engines. 
• Experience with what powers our infrastructure: 
  • Operating Systems: Ubuntu, CentOS, CloudLinux
  • Services: Apache, Nginx, Memcache, MySQL, MariaDB
  • Security: CSF, iptables, ModSecurity, Snort
  • Monitoring: Zabbix, StatusCake, PagerDuty, syslog
  • Applications: WordPress, Drupal
  • CDN: Cloudflare, StackPath
  • Control Panel: cPanel
  • Application performance monitoring for PHP and JavaScript based web applications
  • GitLab for git hosting, CI/CD, and package management
  • Containerization
