Position Overview

Serenity Support Services is actively seeking a compassionate and committed Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dedicated team in Yonkers, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of clients.
• Provide effective consultation in developing pre-crisis and crisis plans, supporting individuals during critical moments with tailored behavioral guidelines and positive behavior plans.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies to monitor progress and make data-informed adjustments to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement positive behavior support strategies for diverse client populations.
• Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements, maintaining regulatory standards and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders including state agencies, community partners, and service systems to facilitate integration of client services.
• Pursue continuous professional development through attending relevant conferences and workshops and representing the agency at various industry-related meetings.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions and promote the agency's mission and values consistently.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director to support team objectives and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in the mental health field is required.
• An active and independent LMHC license is mandatory for this position.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in community health settings or with diverse and underserved populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and mental health outcomes.
• Prior experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and team-based approaches to care.
