Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth assessments and screenings to gauge clients' mental health conditions and creating tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment strategies utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate progress.
  • Leading individual and group therapy sessions, leveraging a variety of modalities to engage clients and foster a safe space for exploration and healing.
  • Collaborating with other professionals within the care team to provide a holistic treatment approach, ensuring all aspects of the client's wellbeing are addressed.
  • Educating and supporting clients' families to enhance their understanding of mental health issues, helping them engage in the recovery process actively.
  • Maintaining meticulous and confidential records, adhering to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse client population experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and adjustment disorders. Your role will be pivotal in guiding clients through their recovery and rehabilitation, using your expertise to support them in achieving their mental wellness goals.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is required, with a preference for those holding a master's or doctoral degree.
  • Demonstrable experience with evidence-based mental health counseling practices.
  • Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills that foster rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with clients, families, and fellow professionals.
Preferred Experience

We encourage applicants who have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably within a hospice or similar setting.
  • A background in working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of cultural competence in therapy.
  • Experience in group therapy facilitation and support.
Compensation and Benefits

At Serenity Medical Center, we value our employees and offer a competitive annual salary of USD 60,000 – 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
