Overview: Sentara Health is looking to hire a Community Benefit Project Manager in South Hampton Roads. Candidates must be able to travel to the following Hospitals: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Sentara Leigh Hospital- Norfolk Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital- Norfolk Sentara Princess Anne- Viriginia Beach

The Community Benefit Project Manager supports management of all aspects of community benefit which may include grant proposals and lifecycle management, community engagement partnerships, or community health needs assessments (CHNA) from all Sentara markets to advance strategic priorities for the Community Engagement and Impact (CEI) department.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing complex processes which may include, but not limited to, grants management, survey development and implementation, creation of reports and presentations used by internal market leaders and corporate executives, collaboration with external stakeholders, and partnership with CEI team and community members to analyze future program opportunities.

Identifies, prioritizes and implements best practices related to alignment of community giving strategies, community health needs assessments, and community benefit planning and reporting.

Develops evidence-informed proposals to address community engagement priorities.

Works closely with the grants team to evaluate grants, provides technical assistance as needed, monitoring/reporting of use of funds and impact, and collaborates with the team to provide analysis of grant applications that align with CHNA priorities.

Ensures alignment within identified community needs with Sentara Healthcare Health CHNA priority issues to develop evidence-informed proposals around community health.

Supports development and expansion of key community relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, political/community leaders, and others.

Education

Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field. (required)

Experience

Three or more yearsโ€™ experience with community benefit management include grants management or community health needs assessment process and publication (required). Experience with CHNA improvement plans (preferred). Proficient in data collection and analysis of community needs, grant making, strong analytic and technical skills (required). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge and Capture of Community Benefit is required, as well as experience working with community organizations. Salesforce or database management preferred. 4 of Community Health Improvement, and Healthcare (required). 2 years of Project Management (required).

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for fullโ€‘time employment is $84,385.60 - $130,312.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/onโ€‘call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extraโ€‘shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a fullโ€‘time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
