Job description
This position is for a PART-TIME caregiver.
**Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.**

Senior Helpers of Cerritos caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.
- Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
- Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)
- Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
- Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
- Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
Requirements:
- You are passionate about helping others
- You enjoy customer service and communicating with clients
- You want to help your community and make a difference in someone’s life
- You have the ability to complete State required Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and Livescan fingerprinting before orientation
- You can provide a current negative TB test
- You must have at least 1 year experience assisting adults with personal care, including diaper changes
- This can include assisting family members, working in facilities, or in-home care
