Role Description The Tree Service Groundsman/Laborer is a full-time, on-site role based in Monongahela, PA. This role supports tree care operations by assisting with ground-level work, including preparing job sites, handling ropes, and guiding branches and logs as they are lowered to the ground. Daily tasks include dragging and stacking brush, feeding limbs into the chipper, cutting and moving wood, cleaning up debris, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. The Groundsman/Laborer helps set up and break down equipment, performs basic equipment care, and supports the crew with tasks as directed by the crew leader or arborist. The role requires consistent attendance, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong physical stamina, the ability to lift and carry heavy materials, and readiness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Candidates should possess basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, and other tree service equipment.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of general safety practices, willingness to follow safety procedures, and attention to detail on active job sites.
• Candidates should possess effective teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions and coordinate with crew members.
• Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; a clean driving record and CDL are beneficial.
• Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in tree service, landscaping, or construction is preferred but not required.
• Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and develop skills in professional tree care.
