Job description

Security Officer – Warehouse Distribution Facility.

SMI Security Services is currently seeking a professional, dependable, and team-oriented Security Officer to join our growing team at a major distribution facility in Doral, Florida.

This position is ideal for a well-rounded security professional who enjoys working with people, maintaining a secure environment, and being an important part of daily operations. The selected candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the client's property, employees, inventory, and transportation operations.
Location:
Carisam Distribution Facility.
Doral, Florida.
Schedule:
Swing Shift Position:
  • Afternoon Shifts.
  • Overnight Shifts.
  • Weekend availability may be required.
Position Overview:
As a Security Officer assigned to this large liquor distribution facility, you will be responsible for maintaining site security, monitoring facility activity, controlling access, and ensuring that all security procedures are followed. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with warehouse management and transportation personnel.
The ideal candidate is professional, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safeguard client property, personnel, and assets.
  • Conduct routine security patrols throughout the facility.
  • Complete designated checkpoint tours and inspections.
  • Maintain detailed hourly activity reports and security logs.
  • Monitor warehouse operations and report unusual activity.
  • Process incoming and outgoing truck traffic.
  • Verify driver information and shipping documentation.
  • Monitor access control points and authorized entry.
  • Communicate regularly with warehouse supervisors and management.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
  • Enforce client policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
  • Active Florida Security D License required.
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with drivers, employees, vendors, and management.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work afternoon and overnight shifts.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to conduct routine patrols throughout the property.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and distribution environment.
  • Ability to observe and report security and safety concerns.
