ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
55% Processes new agent contracts and appointments, which includes:
- Reviewing contracting and appointment paperwork for completeness;
- Notifying agents and/or recruiters of missing paperwork;
- Ordering and reviewing background reports;
- Verifying compliance with federal and state regulations and company guidelines;
- Building and maintaining records and contracts;
- Reviewing hierarchy to ensure it is set up correctly to pay commissions correctly;
- Processing appointments according to procedures of 50 jurisdictions; and
- Working with other departments on correct coding to policy applications.
- Notifying agents and/or recruiters of pending requirements;
- Communicating with producers to obtain additional information of a sensitive nature (bankruptcy documents, criminal information, etc.);
- Completing and mailing contracts;
- Responding to inquiries and requests on status and contracting procedures and guidelines;
- Explaining regulatory changes to producers and internal customers; and
- Researching and resolving problems.
- Assisting with and participating in team functions and events for the agent and new business administration department;
- Assisting in special projects and other related duties as requested; and
- Serving as a member of various committees and implementation teams.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Two to five years of office experience.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function to this position.
- Problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability.
- Execute tasks with detail and accuracy.
- Work independently with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Talent required in values, work intensity, achiever, positivity, resourcefulness, command, relationship, and exactness.
- Associate degree, trade school certification or equivalent required.
- Ability to work 40 hours within flex-time guidelines required.
- Some overtime may be required to complete job functions.
- Hybrid position based in Lincoln, NE. Requires three days per week onsite and provides a hybrid schedule with two remote workdays.
