Position: Event Services Crew
Reports to: Event Services Manager
Location: Downtown Charleston, SC
Hours: Part-Time, Hourly
Organization Background
The Charleston Gaillard Center is an 1,800-seat performance hall located in Charleston, South Carolina. The facility also contains 16,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space, along with office and public spaces. The Charleston Gaillard Management Corporation (CGMC) is a non-profit 501c3 organization responsible for managing the facility.

Position Summary
The Event Services Crew is responsible for event set-up and tear down for events in the Exhibition Hall and Performance Hall. Crew members will be responsible for handling the following equipment: tables, linens, chairs, dance floor, and other miscellaneous event equipment. This role will coordinate directly with the designated event lead.
Responsibilities
  • Set-up and tear down of event’s tables, linens, chairs, dance floor, etc.
  • Proper care, movement, and storage of all equipment such as: tables, chairs, dance floor, etc.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set according to the floor plan created.
Qualifications
  • Previous event-services experience preferred – not required.
  • Reliable transportation – required.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule: mornings, afternoon, evening, weekends.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the team.
  • Ability to perform under stress.
  • Diligence and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
