Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Home Administrator to provide operational leadership for a skilled nursing community in Milwaukee, WI. This leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 120-bed skilled nursing facility while fostering a positive, collaborative culture focused on employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and exceptional resident care.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, improving operations, and creating an environment where employees feel supported and empowered to succeed. This position focuses on operational excellence rather than direct clinical care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of a licensed 120-bed skilled nursing facility.
  • Provide leadership to approximately 100 employees across multiple departments, including housekeeping, dietary, maintenance, and administrative teams.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Nursing and department leaders to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
  • Create a positive workplace culture through coaching, mentorship, and an open-door leadership style.
  • Lead staff development by providing ongoing training, guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including successful state survey readiness.
  • Monitor departmental performance, establish accountability, and drive continuous operational improvements.
  • Review departmental financial reports and budgets while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Participate in leadership, operational, and clinical meetings while remaining focused on facility operations rather than providing direct resident care.
  • Be available as the administrator on-call 24/7 for operational support and decision-making. On-site response is not typically required but accessibility is essential.
  • Enforce organizational policies, including adherence to Kosher standards throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • Active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in Wisconsin or eligibility to transfer a license from a state recognized by Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Nursing Home Administrator experience preferred.
  • Strong operational leadership experience within a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams, improving employee engagement, and driving operational excellence.
  • Experience overseeing budgets, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead through collaboration, accountability, and positive reinforcement.
  • Must be comfortable working on-site five days per week
