Position Overview

Sea View Counseling Center is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Work Environment

The position is fully remote, allowing you to provide essential counseling services to clients from the comfort of your own space. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients' mental health status to inform treatment plans.
  • Design and implement personalized therapeutic interventions that address various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings, empowering clients with tools and techniques to navigate their mental health issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and case managers, to create a comprehensive care strategy for clients.
  • Document progress notes and treatment plans in our EHR system, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing strong de-escalation techniques to support clients in distress.
  • Participate in training and supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a varied patient population that includes individuals experiencing mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, and substance use issues. Your ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique life experiences will be invaluable in providing tailored therapy that respects individual cultural contexts.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
  • In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse client base.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and ability to utilize technology in clinical practice.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality, and professional boundaries at all times.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing culturally responsive and inclusive therapy methods.
  • Track record of successful engagement in crisis intervention and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Compensation and Benefits
