Short-Term Rental Cleaning Contractor – Scrubix Solutions

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented independent contractors to perform short-term rental turnover cleanings. This role requires efficiency, consistency, and a strong understanding of hospitality-level standards, as properties must be guest-ready on tight timelines.

Compensation & Structure

Supplies & Equipment

• Contractors are responsible for providing their own:
• Cleaning supplies
• Equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.)
• Tools necessary to complete jobs to Scrubix standards

$22 - $30 hourly

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform full STR turnover cleanings between guest stays
• Clean and sanitize all areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces
• Make beds and stage the home according to the provided setup standards
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces
• Restock supplies (toiletries, paper products, linens, if applicable)
• Remove trash and replace liners
• Conduct detailed inspections to ensure the property is guest-ready
• Report any damages, maintenance issues, or missing items
• Follow established cleaning checklists and property-specific instructions
• Maintain punctuality to meet same-day turnover deadlines

Required Skills & Experience

• STR / Airbnb Turnover Experience (Preferred): Understanding of fast-paced cleaning with attention to guest expectations
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small issues that impact guest experience
• Time Management: Ability to complete cleanings efficiently within set timeframes
• Hospitality Mindset: Understanding that cleanliness directly impacts reviews and bookings
• Floor Care: Experience cleaning various flooring types (hardwood, tile, carpet, etc.)
• Deep Cleaning Knowledge: Ability to perform periodic deep cleans when needed
• Communication: Ability to report issues clearly and promptly
• Reliability: Consistent attendance and ability to handle scheduled jobs

Additional Expectations

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have access to a smartphone for communication and job details
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak seasons
• Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when working in client homes
