About the Organization

At Scripps Behavioral Health, we are a community-focused health clinic based in Lakewood, New Jersey, devoted to delivering comprehensive mental health services. Our mission centers on creating a safe and nurturing environment for individuals who have experienced trauma. We utilize evidence-based practices to support patients navigating challenges associated with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clinic is dedicated to the highest standards of therapeutic care, ensuring every voice is heard, and every journey toward healing is supported.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work. As part of our innovative team, you will collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, psychiatrists, and social workers—all committed to providing integrative care. Our virtual platform allows for seamless communication and collaboration, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive support tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through their healing journeys, helping them develop coping mechanisms and strategies to manage their trauma.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to coordinate integrated care and ensure the best outcomes for each patient.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate support.
  • Educate patients and families on trauma responses and available resources to promote understanding and empowerment in the healing process.
  • Maintain precise, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and professional development activities to stay informed about advanced trauma-informed care practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our mental health services includes individuals grappling with various trauma-related conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients seek a supportive, understanding environment where they can process their experiences and reclaim their well-being. As a therapist, you will provide essential support to patients from diverse backgrounds who are navigating the profound impacts of trauma in their daily lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related conditions and proficient application of trauma-informed treatment methods.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in a mental health setting specializing in trauma.
  • Previous experience with trauma-focused modalities and a strong understanding of evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and tools necessary for effective patient management and documentation.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
