Job description

  • Perform conflict searches. Execute thorough checks using internal and external systems. Identify overlapping interests across business engagements.
  • Analyze intake requests. Review submission data for accuracy and completeness. Flag missing or incorrect information.
  • Evaluate waiver requests. Assess potential business risks and implications. Provide actionable recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build risk procedures. Help develop and implement mitigation strategies. Promote an organization-wide culture of compliance.
  • Support talent growth. Analyze risk profiles for senior-level candidates. Assist with onboarding and integration.
  • Manage compliance databases. Maintain proprietary tracking systems and firewalls. Ensure adherence to external client guidelines.
  • Mentor junior personnel. Guide and train junior analysts. Ensure team alignment with established resolution protocols.
  • Research regulatory updates. Monitor shifting industry laws and compliance trends. Update internal protocols as needed.
  • Protect data privacy. Handle proprietary and sensitive records with strict discretion. Maintain absolute confidentiality.


Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years as a conflict analyst in a legal environment, with a demonstrated understanding of conflict resolution processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ethical rules and risk management requirements governing conflicts of interest and conflicts resolution processes.
  • Understanding of the type of work undertaken by a large law firm along with an appreciation of commercial and legal terms.
  • Proficiency in technical applications.
  • Utilize research applications such as Dun & Bradstreet, Capital IQ, and Hoover’s.
  • Bachelor’s degree
