Role Description This full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role is based at the Scott Cameron State Farm Agency in Ocala, FL. The Insurance Agent will consult with individuals and families to assess their insurance and financial needs, recommend appropriate State Farm products, and prepare personalized quotes. Daily responsibilities include meeting with customers in person and by phone, explaining policy options and coverage, processing applications and policy changes, and following up on leads. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in agency systems, participating in community outreach or marketing activities, and collaborating with team members to achieve sales and service goals. The Insurance Agent is expected to provide responsive, professional service that builds trust and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to match products to customer needs and explain coverage clearly.
  • Experience or familiarity with Insurance Brokerage and Finance, including basic understanding of financial services and risk management.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on active listening, problem-solving, and timely follow-up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and colleagues.
  • Comfort working in an on-site, customer-facing environment, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and CRM tools; ability to learn agency systems quickly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Prior insurance, financial services, or sales experience is preferred; applicable state insurance licenses or willingness to obtain them as required.
