Science Appliance is a locally owned appliance repair company proudly serving Lubbock and the South Plains since 2015. We are currently seeking an experienced Appliance Repair Technician who is ready to step into the field and run service calls independently from day one.

Please note: Due to current business needs, we are seeking an experienced appliance technician who can independently diagnose and repair appliances from day one. This is not a trainee, apprentice, or helper position.

We are looking for someone with proven appliance repair experience, strong diagnostic ability, and confidence working independently in customers' homes. Our technicians are trusted to accurately diagnose problems, communicate professionally with customers, and complete repairs the right way—not guess through parts swapping.

Position Details

• Full-time, field-based position
• Dispatch from home in a company provided vehicle
• Monday-Friday schedule
• Typical hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (may vary based on routing and workload

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, microwaves, ice makers, and other household appliances
• Run service calls independently and manage daily workload efficiently
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding diagnoses, repairs, and recommendations
• Research and order appliance parts as needed
• Complete service documentation through our dispatch software
• Maintain communication with office staff regarding parts, scheduling, and job status
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle and organized tool inventory
• Follow manufacturer procedures and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential appliance repair experience required
• Applicants without direct appliance repair experience will not be considered at this time
• Must be capable of independently diagnosing and repairing appliances in the field
• Strong troubleshooting, electrical, and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Experience diagnosing and repairing major appliance brands including Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, and Frigidaire preferred
• Professional customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in residential environments
• Must pass background check and drug screening
