Why This Role Exists

This role exists to support steady, long-term demand for custom tooling, fixtures, and short-run machined components.
Santucci Process Development continues to see consistent project flow across tooling, repair, and prototype work, requiring a versatile machinist who can contribute across manual and conversational CNC equipment.

This position plays a key role in producing one-off and short-run parts where craftsmanship, setup skill, and problem-solving matter more than cycle time.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate manual mills, manual lathes, and conversational CNC equipment
  • Machine custom fixtures, tooling, and precision test parts
  • Run high-mix, low-volume jobs and one-off builds
  • Load, adjust, and run conversational CNC programs
  • Select tooling, establish offsets, and manage setups independently
  • Perform in-process and basic first-article inspection
  • Assist with machine, tooling, and equipment repair or redesign projects

This is hands-on machining work where every job is different.

You’ll work with equipment such as:

Machines

  • 3-axis CNC mills
  • 2.5-axis CNC mill conversions
  • CNC lathes (up to Ø16″)

  • Standard shop measurement tools for precision machining

---

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 1–2+ years of machining experience
  • Experience with manual machining and/or conversational CNC
  • Ability to read blueprints and work to specification
  • Comfortable performing setups, offsets, and tool changes
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Preferred (Not Required)

  • CNC mill or lathe setup experience
  • Exposure to repair, redesign, or reverse-engineering work
