Job Title: Business Consultant/Business Analyst
Job Location: New York - USA

Job Description:

  • Lead and facilitate workshops and interviews with Santander Fixed Income traders risk managers structurers and operations personnel to understand current workflows pain points and strategic objectives related to the legacy platform and ION usage
  • Conduct a detailed assessment of how the ION Fixed Income platform components eg etrading functionalities risk modeling pricing engines trade booking workflows FIX connectivity are currently configured and utilized within Santander
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement efficiency gains and functional gaps relative to business needs and modern platform capabilities with a specific focus on the ION environment
  • Provide expert guidance on the capabilities best practices and potential configurations of various modules within the ION Fixed Income suite
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear structured findings and contribute to the documentation of discovery outputs including current state analysis gap analysis and preliminary recommendations
  • Act as a key liaison between the business stakeholders and the technology teams ensuring business context and requirements are clearly understood by technical counterparts
  • Collaborate closely with technology consultants to assess the technical aspects of the legacy platform and ION integrations ensuring a holistic understanding of the environment
  • Contribute to the definition of the scope and objectives for the subsequent modernization phases based on discovery findings
  • Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders including business and technology leadership

Required Skills Experience

  • Deep demonstrable expertise with the ION Fixed Income platform is paramount This includes experience with core modules supporting
  • oFixed Income etrading workflows and connectivity
  • oRisk modeling and analytics eg market risk credit risk VaR within or integrated with ION
  • oPricing methodologies and engines for Fixed Income and structured products
  • oTrade booking lifecycle management and STP processing
  • oMarket connectivity and communication using FIX protocol within the ION framework
  • Proven understanding of Fixed Income financial products eg Government Bonds Corporate Bonds Swaps Repos Structured Notes and associated business processes
  • Minimum of Specify eg 710 years of experience in a business analysis consulting or domain expert role within the financial services industry specifically capital markets or investment banking
  • Strong experience in conducting discovery phases requirements gathering process mapping and gap analysis
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and criticalthinking skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex business and technical concepts
  • Exceptional communication facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of seniority from traders to IT management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced crossfunctional team environment business IT consulting
  • Experience working on largescale platform assessment or modernization initiatives is highly desirable
  • Understanding of the technical architecture and data flows typically associated with trading and risk platforms is beneficial
