Hours: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 an hour

Location: San Luis Rey Training Center, Bonsall, CA

Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Gatemen. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Security Guards in ensuring the protection of the facility, its employees, and the horses on-site.

Objective: The Gateman plays a vital role in maintaining safety and security by working closely with Security Guards to safeguard the premises and uphold the well-being of all individuals and animals within the facility.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate directly with security guards to maintain safety and security.
• Answer telephone and radio communications promptly and communicate effectively under extreme emergencies with management and first responders.
• Maintain constant vigilance of surroundings, including verifying personnel credentials, identifying unauthorized deliveries, addressing out-of-place individuals or packages, and ensuring the safety of loose horses.

Competencies:

• Technical proficiency, including the use of Word applications (e.g., report writing).
• Ethical conduct and integrity.
• Strong customer service skills.

Requirements and Experience:

• High School Diploma.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check conducted by the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB).
• Obtain a CHRB License upon clearance for employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military background.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Experience in providing customer service.
