Experienced Service Technician
About the Job
Sames McAllen Ford is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our busy service department. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a wide range of vehicle systems. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service for our customers.

Responsibilities
Perform assigned repair orders efficiently and in line with dealership standards
Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools to identify system issues
Diagnose, maintain, and repair major vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and HVAC
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors to ensure customers are informed of needed repairs, costs, and timelines
Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
Support a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
Stay current with Ford training, ASE certifications, and industry updates
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
ASE Certification preferred but not required
2+ years of professional Service Technician experience; prior Ford dealership experience preferred
Proven knowledge of diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair
Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment with accuracy
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Positive, customer-first attitude and ability to work in a team setting
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise work
Willingness to adapt to new technology, repair procedures, and specifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
