Future General Manager Opportunities | Phoenix Metro

What Our GMs Do 

General Managers at Salt & Straw are hands-on operators and team builders who live our values in action. You’ll: 

  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, payroll, inventory, and facilities, making every detail count 

  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of Shift Coordinators and Scoopers, sharing human kindness and building strong foundations 

  • Set clear expectations and coach your team with generosity and consistency, creating a culture where people show up fully and support one another 

  • Deliver hospitality rooted in curiosity and care, transforming everyday moments into moments of wonder for guests and teammates 

  • Use data and insights to drive results in sales, labor, and guest experience, asking good questions and acting with thoughtful curiosity 

  • Navigate challenges, celebrate wins, and help your team grow with clarity and compassion 

  • Strengthen community relationships and represent Salt & Straw as a thoughtful, generous presence in your neighborhood 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the success and sustainability of your shop

  • Have 3+ years of food service, hospitality, or retail experience 

  • Have managed teams of 10+ in a fast-paced environment 

  • Know how to train, develop, and support people with care and clarity

  • Are ready to own both the people and operational sides of a shop 

  • Are 18+ and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays 

Wage Transparency 

We are actively embracing pay transparency. The hourly rate range listed for General Manager roles in this area is $27.36-$33.43 per hour, which reflects the full earning potential across all shops within this district. When we invite you to apply for a specific General Manager opening, the hiring wage for that shop will be clearly presented based on its approved compensation range.
