Job description

Job Description

  1. Perform daily operations in a high-throughput sequencing laboratory, including sample receiving, recording, storage, shipment, and other sample handling processes.
  2. Perform routine molecular biology experiments, including DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, electrophoresis, PCR amplification, reverse transcription, and related experimental procedures.
  3. Conduct library preparation, quality control, and sequencing operations for ONT, PacBio, and Illumina sequencing platforms.
  4. Perform epigenomics-related sequencing experiments, including Hi-C, Pore-C, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, ChIP-seq, and other related workflows.
  5. Perform sample preparation and related experimental operations for the 10x Genomics platform, including tissue dissociation, nuclei extraction, sample labeling, cDNA recovery, library preparation, and quality control.
  6. Follow standard laboratory SOPs to carry out experimental procedures and assist in optimizing existing methods to improve experimental efficiency and data quality.
  7. Accurately record experimental procedures, results, and abnormalities; maintain complete and well-organized laboratory records; and prepare experimental reports or summaries as required.
  8. Prepare, organize, update, and archive production-related documents, SOPs, experimental records, and other laboratory documents.
  9. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory environment in accordance with company policies and laboratory safety requirements.
  10. Continuously learn new sequencing technologies, molecular biology methods, and related applications to support the development of laboratory technical capabilities.


Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree or above in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biomedical Sciences, Agriculture, or other related life science fields. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may also be considered.
  2. Bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese are required
  3. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current employer sponsorship.
  4. Solid molecular biology laboratory experience, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR amplification, reverse transcription, nuclei extraction, and related experimental techniques.
  5. Familiarity with Illumina, ONT, and PacBio sequencing technologies and related laboratory workflows.
  6. Strong learning ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies based on business and laboratory needs.
