Assistant Management Accountant

Job Description:

The role:

To support the production of accurate and timely management accounts, cost reporting, budgets, and forecasts for Saica Natur UK. The role combines core management responsibilities with transactional finance support and strong stakeholder service, ensuring robust financial control across the business.

Tasks / Functions / main responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

• Assisting with monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Produce regular management reports and insightful financial analysis for stakeholders.
• Track departmental costs and perform details expense analysis.
• Support the maintenance and improvement of finance processes and controls.
• Correctly identify invoice destinations and forward invoices to the appropriate approvers.
• Ensure VAT treatment and nominal code are accurate on all processed transactions.
• Liaise with Third Parties, suppliers and customers to obtain accurate financial information to ensure timely payments and receipts, particularly where transactions are not processed through Prisma.
• Maintain the supplier self-bill register, ensuring all self-bills are current, sequential, and complete across all depots.
• Providing documents and information external and internal auditors during periodic visits.
• Provide finance support to operational and commercial teams across Saica Natur UK.

Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager in accordance with the scope and the responsibilities of the role.

Recommended Personal Profile

Academic qualifications

GCSE - Maths and English

Studying towards or interest in ACCA/CIMA/ AAT

Professional experience

• Waste Management / Recycling experience desirable.
• IT skills, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• SAP
