Position Overview

Safer is seeking an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of key client relationships and oversee the successful execution of fire and life safety services across large, multi location accounts.

This is not simply a customer service position. The National Account Manager is responsible for the overall health and performance of assigned accounts, including client communication, service execution, internal coordination, issue resolution, reporting, and account retention.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, confident communicating with clients, and willing to take ownership when problems arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national accounts

• Build strong relationships with client contacts and understand their expectations, priorities, and service requirements

• Oversee service activity across multiple locations and markets

• Coordinate internally with Account Coordinators, operations, billing, vendor relations, and leadership

• Ensure inspections, repairs, service calls, and other client requests are completed accurately and on time

• Monitor open work orders and proactively address delays or service issues

• Provide clients with clear and consistent updates regarding account activity

• Lead client calls, account reviews, and performance discussions

• Review account performance, service levels, outstanding issues, and client satisfaction

• Identify recurring operational problems and drive them toward resolution

• Escalate critical issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through completion

• Maintain accurate account information, documentation, and activity within company systems

• Support client retention and identify opportunities to expand Safer's relationship with existing accounts

• Hold internal teams accountable for commitments made to clients

Required Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience in account management, operations, facilities services, fire and life safety, or a similar service industry

• Experience managing complex client relationships or multi location accounts

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Proven ability to take ownership, solve problems, and follow through without constant supervision

Nice to Have

• Experience in the fire and life safety industry

• Experience managing national or multi location accounts

• Familiarity with work order management or facilities management platforms

• Experience working with CRM or account management systems

• Experience leading client performance reviews or business review meetings
