Job Title: Donation Center Driver (Part-Time)
Department: Donation Center
Reports To: Donation Center Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-exempt
Hours per week: 20-25 Hrs
Salary Range: $16 - $17 / hour

Job Summary
The Safe Nest Donation Driver will be responsible for the pick-up of merchandise from donors, safely stacking the donation in the truck, offloading donations at Savers, and ensuring that the processing is accurate from Saver’s personnel. As the Driver, you will be familiarized with the policies, procedures, and goals of Safe Nest TADC. You will advocate most professionally while exceeding customer expectations both internally and externally.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Pick up donated goods from residential, corporate amp; commercial customers.
  • Load amp; unload merchandise to/from delivery trucks and donation bins.
  • Operate amp; maneuver warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, amp; hand trucks.
  • Maintain and document maintenance of vehicles amp; other equipment.
  • Observe safety guidelines amp; wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Maintain driver log amp; perform pre‐trip/post‐trip inspections.
  • Correctly fill out amp; provide donation receipts.
  • Ensure Savers paperwork is correct and verified at every offload
  • Adhere to Savers policy and procedures while offloading
  • Maintain positive and upbeat demeanor while in the presence of donors and Savers Thrift stores.
  • Maintain quality service by following organizational standards, policies, amp; procedures.
  • Provide excellent service to donors.
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the Driver Supervisor and/or Donation Center Director.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be able to operate required vehicles safely.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, responsible, amp; detail oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the general public politely and courteously.
  • Teamwork, coordination, organization, planning, time management, interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally amp; in writing.
  • Must have or be willing amp; able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license amp; 3 yrs or more clean DMV record.
  • Must be a minimum of 25 years of age.
  • Must clear background screening and drug test
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ yrs previous driving experience with 16’ box truck or similar
  • CDL preferred but not required
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • This position may require physical demands requiring good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects (minimum of 60lbs) of varying shapes, sizes, and weights repeatedly over long periods.
  • Must be able to continuously and repeatedly reach, above, and below shoulder, stoop, kneel, balance, bend, twist the body, turn the body, walk, and stand, use fingering/fine dexterity, wrist motion, flex wrist, grasp/squeeze, handling/gross dexterity, feel, use hand-eye coordination, use foot-hand-eye coordination, hear, talk, use a ladder, lift, carry, push, or pull a minimum of 60 lbs.
  • Near vision, midrange vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and field of peripheral vision is continuously
  • Continuously required environmental conditions: outdoors, dust, exposure to weather, extreme cold, extreme heat, loud noises, mist, moving mechanical parts, toxic/caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, wet/humidity/rain, and high, precarious places.
