Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments for clients to understand their mental health needs and develop tailored counseling strategies.
• Provide empathetic and effective counseling sessions to individuals, couples, families, and groups via secure telehealth platforms.
• Create and implement comprehensive treatment plans that align with each client's objectives, regularly monitoring their progress.
• Assist clients in developing practical coping strategies and essential life skills to enhance their mental resilience.
• Engage in continuous collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate holistic care for clients.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse client base includes individuals from various cultural backgrounds, age groups, and presenting concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Safe West Behavioral Health Center, you will work with both children and adults, providing sensitive care tailored to their unique life experiences and mental health challenges. Your cultural competence and ability to connect with a wide range of clients will play a pivotal role in fostering trust and encouraging effective therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• An active license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport and trust with clients.
• The capacity to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, ideally including knowledge of cultural sensitivity practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community health setting or with telehealth counseling.
• Familiarity with evidence-based counseling methodologies and treatment techniques.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for client documentation and progress tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
