The Talent Specialist plays a key role in helping Safe Life attract exceptional talent and create an outstanding experience from first conversation through successful onboarding. This role partners with leaders and candidates throughout the hiring process, helping identify strong talent, coordinate an efficient and engaging recruiting experience, and ensure new hires are welcomed, prepared, and positioned for success. The position also helps strengthen and continuously improve onboarding programs, hiring processes, and the overall candidate experience as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders and the People & Culture team to support recruiting efforts for open positions, helping identify candidate profiles and hiring needs.
- Lead recruiting activities for assigned positions, including sourcing, candidate outreach, screening, interview coordination, candidate evaluation, and offer support.
- Assess candidate qualifications and provide recommendations regarding candidate fit, strengths, and development potential.
- Support structured interview processes and help ensure candidates are evaluated consistently against role requirements.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and relationship-building activities.
- Own the candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding, ensuring candidates and new hires experience a professional, engaging, and highly responsive process.
- Partner with managers to coordinate onboarding plans, training schedules, and key early-success activities for new hires.
- Lead onboarding and new hire follow-up discussions, identifying integration risks and opportunities to strengthen early employee success.
- Gather and analyze feedback from candidates, new hires, and managers to recommend improvements to recruiting and onboarding practices.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and People & Culture initiatives that strengthen culture and employee experience.
- Provide guidance and support regarding routine People & Culture programs, policies, and processes.
- Assist with talent, onboarding, and employee experience projects while helping identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, consistency, and scalability.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Communications, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in recruiting, HR, customer-facing leadership, operations, management training, employee experience, or a related field.
- Experience supporting hiring, onboarding, employee programs, customer service, sales, leadership development, or people-focused initiatives preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence others, and establish credibility with a variety of stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a growing organization is a plus.
- Multi-state recruiting / HR experience is beneficial.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time, including frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and phone.
- Ability to communicate effectively via video, phone, and in person with candidates, employees, and leaders.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally move within a remote work environment.
- Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%) for team meetings, onboarding support, or other business needs.
