Electrical Project Manager – Residential & Commercial
SWD Electric is a fast-growing, veteran-owned electrical contracting company serving Palm Beach County. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial electrical projects from award through completion. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple residential and commercial electrical projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, project managers, inspectors, and vendors.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project scopes to ensure successful execution.
- Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, change orders, and job profitability.
- Conduct job site visits to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Work closely with field electricians to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.
- Order materials, coordinate deliveries, and manage inventory needs.
- Schedule inspections, ensure permit compliance, and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reports, and progress updates.
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop solutions to avoid delays.
- Foster positive relationships with customers while representing SWD Electric professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical project management experience (residential, commercial, or both).
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, and change orders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
