About Us

Steel Rule Concepts, LLC is a manufacturer of precision steel rule cutting dies used in the packaging, printing, and converting industries. We are committed to quality craftsmanship, strategic solutions, and serving our customers. We provide hands-on training and opportunities to develop specialized skills in a unique manufacturing trade.

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Entry-Level Manufacturing Associate to join our production team. No previous experience in steel rule cutting dies is required—we provide comprehensive, paid on-the-job training.

This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and building a long-term career in manufacturing. Employees will gain experience in die finishing and production processes with the opportunity to advance into a skilled Die Maker position as they develop their knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production and assembly of steel rule cutting dies.
  • Perform die finishing tasks, including cleaning, inspecting, rubbering, stripping, and preparing finished dies for shipment.
  • Read and follow work orders, drawings, and production instructions.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and install steel rule into die boards using specialized equipment after training.
  • Operate production equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
  • Assist in the build/assembly of stripping and blanking units.
  • Package completed dies for shipping.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules.
  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is helpful but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Use hand tools and operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Bend, reach, and move throughout the production area.

Growth Opportunities

This is more than an entry-level manufacturing position—it's an opportunity to learn a specialized trade. Team members who demonstrate initiative, quality workmanship, and a willingness to learn will have the opportunity to train and advance into a Die Maker role, where they will build custom steel rule cutting dies and develop highly valued technical skills.

Benefits

  • Paid on-the-job training
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance (if applicable)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for advancement and skill development
  • Stable, full-time employment with a growing manufacturing company
