Job description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our team as a Dispatch Manager at SRM Concrete. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment and is ready to lead daily operations while ensuring exceptional service and efficiency.
The Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day dispatch operations at the plant, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of concrete while maintaining strong communication between customers, drivers, and plant personnel. This role plays a key part in driving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support dispatch personnel and drivers, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient scheduling and on-time delivery of concrete.
- Coordinate closely with plant managers, drivers, and sales teams to meet customer demands.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent service and resolving any delivery or scheduling issues.
- Monitor workloads, routes, and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Track and evaluate key performance metrics to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance dispatch operations.
- Conduct team meetings, training, and performance evaluations to support employee development.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch-related systems.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
