Spherion Staffing is partnering with a premier, highly respected educational organization in the Spokane area to recruit a temporary Director for a 6-month contract assignment.

You will oversee daily operations, champion a supportive staff culture, and ensure compliance and excellence while the organization navigates a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of a well-established educational organization, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for students and staff.
- Staff Management & Mentorship: Lead, support, and schedule a dedicated team of educators. Foster a collaborative culture that respects individualized, child-led learning methodologies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Washington State licensing requirements (DCYF), health department codes, and internal organizational policies.
- Family & Community Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for families, managing enrollments, addressing inquiries, and maintaining strong, positive community relationships.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage center budgets, track attendance and billing, coordinate specialized educational materials, and ensure smooth administrative workflows.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience as an Educational Director, Assistant Director, or Program Administrator.
- Philosophy Alignment: Strong familiarity or experience working within specialized, student-centered educational frameworks (experience with independent, self-directed learning models is highly preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Must meet Washington State DCYF staff qualifications for a Center Director.
- Compliance & Credentials: Active MERIT profile with completed background check, or immediate eligibility to pass one. Must hold (or quickly obtain) CPR/First Aid certification, Food Handler’s Permit, and a negative TB test.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
