Summary of Position:

As a Child Nutrition Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and strengthening K–12 school nutrition programs across multiple districts. In this dynamic position, you’ll champion program excellence by ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while driving consistency and quality in daily operations.

This role goes beyond oversight—you’ll be out in the field, partnering directly with schools to provide hands-on guidance, deliver impactful staff training, and help teams thrive. Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver training programs on menu planning, nutrition standards, and regulatory compliance, including creation of supporting materials and resources.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to federal, state, local, and company regulations governing child nutrition programs.
• Provide menu planning support through guidance, evaluation, and development as needed.
• Maintain and manage menu planning systems and nutrition databases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support district operations by preparing for and assisting with successful Administrative Reviews and compliance audits.

Qualifications:

• Experience in school nutrition programs or related food service environments preferred; comparable food service operations experience will be considered.
• Experience in K-12 schools is preferred and/or experience in managing operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field preferred; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) designation is a plus.
• Ability to manage responsibilities in a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to coordinate and manage travel requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required by the role.
