Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly supervision and mentorship to practicum students pursuing clinical licensure or actively enrolled in their Master’s programs, offering guidance on clinical practices and therapeutic techniques.
  • Deliver high-quality psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families, addressing a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to create comprehensive treatment plans that support the diverse needs of clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting session notes, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in therapy methodologies to enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed mental health counselor at SIAM, you will work closely with a varied and dynamic client population, offering psychological support that fosters healing and resilience. Your clients may include individuals seeking relief from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges, as well as couples and families needing guidance for improved communication and emotional well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • A valid state license in mental health (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) is required.
  • Current professional liability insurance to ensure coverage in practice.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring practicum students or junior therapists is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and a strong understanding of clinical documentation and ethical practice.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage client care effectively.
