We are looking for a Head Chef tired of the big city, traffic, hassle and the high cost of living to consider the Running Y Resort. Nestled in the stunning high desert landscape of Southern Oregon, Running Y Resort is the region's premier full-service resort destination. From outdoor recreation to exceptional hospitality, we offer guests an experience unlike anywhere else — including Oregon's only Arnold Palmer Signature Design golf course.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented, passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary program ,especially for the evenings, and set the standard for exceptional dining at Running Y Resort. This is a rare opportunity to build and own a kitchen culture in a destination setting — where locally inspired ingredients meet world-class hospitality.
What You'll Do
- Menu development, kitchen management, and quality standards
- Oversee, mentor, and inspire a team of cooks and kitchen staff
- Source and build relationships with local and regional food purveyors
- Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering to meet budget goals
- Collaborate with resort leadership on seasonal menus and special events
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first approach
- Creative culinary vision with a passion for local, seasonal ingredients
- Solid knowledge of food costing, ordering, and kitchen operations
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
