Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients to determine mental health status and treatment needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individual and group-based, using culturally responsive methods to engage clients effectively.
  • Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed, and provide ongoing support through a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Make referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or specialists, when interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary to optimize client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will center around a broad population that may include individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, trauma, and eating disorders. By employing a strengths-based approach, you will empower clients to navigate their challenges and achieve their mental health goals, fostering resilience and long-term wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches and a strong understanding of various mental health disorders.
  • Experience with both individual and group therapy, employing culturally competent practices.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and maintaining composure in high-stress scenarios.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other telehealth technology platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that aid in establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Compensation and Benefits
