Job description

Round Barn Labs (RBL) is a premier B2B SaaS partner marketing consultancy.

We help innovative software companies turn authentic partners, creators, publishers, and industry voices into predictable, efficient revenue channels.

Our approach goes beyond traditional affiliate-network management. We build high-performing partner ecosystems through hyper-targeted recruitment, creator and influencer programs, content and media partnerships, review-site strategies, co-sell and technology-integration relationships, niche community activation, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

RBL brings deep in-house SaaS experience and has helped leading technology brands—including Amazon, eBay, Oculus, Atlassian, Superhuman, Grammarly, Google Workspace, and Remote—scale partner programs that drive trust, pipeline, and high-LTV revenue.

RBL reports more than $580M in partner-sourced revenue, 95% client retention, and a proprietary network of 25,000+ vetted partner relationships.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you will own the day-to-day strategy, execution, and growth of partner marketing programs for a portfolio of B2B SaaS and technology clients.

You will serve as a primary client contact, building trusted relationships and translating business goals into clear plans for partner recruitment, activation, optimization, and measurement. You will lead client meetings, coordinate internal delivery, guide Associate Account Managers, and collaborate closely with Publisher Development to build partner pipelines that are relevant, credible, and commercially meaningful.

This role suits a proactive client leader who combines strong organization and communication with commercial curiosity. You should be comfortable moving between client calls, performance reporting, internal strategy discussions, publisher recruitment priorities, and creative problem-solving—always looking for the best-fit opportunity rather than relying on a standard affiliate playbook.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the day-to-day client lead for assigned accounts, building strong, responsive, and trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Lead regular client calls, including meeting preparation, agenda development, strategic recommendations, action-item ownership, and timely follow-up communications.
  • Build and execute customized partner marketing plans aligned to each client’s ideal customer profile, product positioning, buyer journey, growth targets, and commercial priorities.
  • Collaborate with Publisher Development to define partner-recruitment priorities, develop clear partner briefs, review pipelines, provide feedback, and remove barriers to activation.
  • Identify high-value partnership opportunities across publishers, creators, B2B influencers, review sites, newsletters, podcasts, media properties, professional communities, niche content sites, value-added sellers, and other nontraditional channels.
  • Manage the partner lifecycle from strategic identification through recruitment, approval, onboarding, activation, relationship development, optimization, and renewal.
  • Ensure partner recommendations prioritize quality, audience relevance, credibility, brand fit, and revenue potential—not simply volume.
  • Monitor program performance and translate results into clear client insights, practical recommendations, testing priorities, and growth plans.
  • Prepare and present regular client reporting, including performance trends, partner-pipeline health, activation progress, revenue contribution, channel insights, risks, and next steps.
  • Help clients make informed decisions using data while recognizing the longer-term, trust-building nature of many B2B partnerships.
  • Coordinate internal project plans, timelines, responsibilities, and client deliverables to ensure seamless execution across account management and publisher development.
  • Guide Associate Account Managers in reporting, partner research, meeting preparation, client follow-up, project coordination, and account operations.
  • Review work for accuracy, quality, clarity, and strategic alignment before sharing it with clients.
  • Proactively surface account risks, partner challenges, missed opportunities, and ideas for improving program performance.
  • Stay current on the evolving partner-marketing landscape, including B2B creator trends, media and review ecosystems, attribution, AI-influenced search behavior, and emerging partner channels.
  • Contribute ideas, learnings, and repeatable best practices that strengthen RBL’s client work while preserving the bespoke nature of each program.

What Success Looks Like

-Clients view you as a strategic, prepared, and dependable extension of their growth team.

Account priorities are clear internally, deliverables are completed on time, and follow-up is consistent and thorough.

-Recruitment efforts generate a healthy pipeline of relevant, differentiated partners tied to each client’s ICP and growth objectives.

-Partners are actively moved from outreach to onboarding, activation, and productive long-term relationships.

-Reporting goes beyond activity metrics and clearly explains what is working, what is not, why it matters, and what should happen next.

-You consistently bring forward creative partnership ideas that fit the brand rather than defaulting to standard affiliate tactics.

-Associate Account Managers receive clear direction, useful feedback, and opportunities to develop their own client-service and strategic capabilities.

-Client retention, satisfaction, program momentum, and commercial performance remain strong across your portfolio.

Qualifications

-3–5+ years of experience in affiliate, partner, influencer, creator, performance marketing, or digital-agency account management.

-Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and coordinating multiple accounts, projects, priorities, and deadlines.

-Experience building, executing, or supporting affiliate, publisher, creator, influencer, partnership, or business-development programs.

-Strong understanding of how publishers, creators, media properties, review sites, communities, and other partners can influence B2B SaaS demand generation and revenue.

-A thoughtful approach to partner recruitment and development, with a bias toward relevance, credibility, strategic fit, and long-term value.

-Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret marketing or partnership data, identify meaningful patterns, and present recommendations clearly.

-Advanced working proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel; comfort working with reporting dashboards, affiliate platforms, tracking tools, and CRM or project-management systems.

-Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-communication skills.

-Ability to lead meetings, articulate recommendations, manage stakeholder expectations, and handle follow-up independently.

-Experience mentoring, delegating to, or reviewing the work of junior team members is strongly preferred.

-Agency experience is strongly preferred; additional experience on the advertiser, publisher, SaaS, creator, or partnership side is a plus.

-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

Career Growth

The Account Manager role is a core client-leadership position at RBL and a path to Senior Account Manager and, ultimately, Account Director.

You will receive mentorship and increasing responsibility as you build strategic ownership, commercial judgment, client leadership, team-management capabilities, and the ability to develop high-performing partner programs. Strong Account Managers at RBL demonstrate not only excellent account execution, but also the ability to help clients see new growth opportunities and to develop the next generation of account-management talent.
