Job description

Roscoe Care Center, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves applying your expertise in speech therapy to assist residents with communication and swallowing disorders, thereby enhancing their quality of life and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech and swallowing abilities.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, resident objectives, and physician directives.

  • Utilize effective techniques in articulation, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy.

  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care for residents.

  • Educate residents and their families about speech therapy goals and strategies.

  • Stay informed about current trends and regulations in speech therapy.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Speech Language Pathologist license.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

  • Familiarity with speech therapy regulations and practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A collaborative team-oriented approach.

  • Effective time management abilities.
