We are looking for a lawyer with experience in workplace safety to join our team. About Workplace Law:

At Roper Greyell our lawyers are skilled advocates, diligent solicitors and effective negotiators. We provide nuanced legal advice on complex workplace issues. Roper Greyell lawyers serve their clients across a full spectrum of workplace law practice areas. Additionally, some of our team members have also expanded their practice to become leaders in areas such as Workplace Safety, Investigations or Privacy. What We Are Looking For:

• Associate with 3-6 years of call to the bar in good standing in a Canadian jurisdiction, with at least 2 recent years of experience in labour and employment law and/or 2 years of recent experience with workplace safety regulatory matters:
  • WorkSafeBC Injury Claims
  • Occupational health and safety enforcement matters (inspections, investigations, penalties, orders, etc.)
  • WorkSafe BC assessment and classification matters
• Consideration will also be given to lawyers with other regulatory or quasi-criminal practice backgrounds including Coroners' Inquests, Workplace Occupational Health and Safety prosecutions, proceedings under the Mines Act or other workplace safety systems in Canada.
• A client-focused approach to legal practice
• Strong communication and client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent written and advocacy skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• A desire to grow your career in workplace law at our Vancouver office
