The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Head Nurse. A DAY IN THE LIFE We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being.

Our LPN's supervise, assign, and evaluate the work performance of LNA's on the unit assigned, and further identify any educational opportunities. They perform and sign drug counts at the change of shift, as well as assess, identify, and report any changes in resident status. Additionally, the LPN assumes responsibility for all aspects of care related to admissions, transfers, or discharges, follows all established safety and infection control policies/procedures, and oversees all documentation/reporting in accordance with Rockingham County policy standards and State/Federal requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire LPN license; and Three (3) years of Long Term Care (or equivalent) experience preferred; or An equivalent combination of work and experience will be considered. CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.

Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. AVAILABLE PART-TIME SCHEDULES: 32 Hours/Week 72 Hours Bi-Weekly SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: 2nd Shift: $4.00/hour 3rd Shift: $5.00/hour Weekend Premium: $2.00/hour Equal Employment Opportunity Mandatory post offer physical and drug testing for new hire.
