Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Masons role located in San Antonio, TX. The mason will lay bricks, blocks, and stone, construct and repair walls, foundations, and other structural elements, and mix and apply mortar according to project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, setting forms, and ensuring structures are level, plumb, and aligned. The role involves working closely with supervisors and other trades on the job site, following safety procedures, and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas. The mason will also assist with site preparation, material handling, and quality checks to meet project timelines and standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in masonry work, including laying brick, block, and stone, and constructing structural and decorative elements
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
  • Strong understanding of measuring, cutting, leveling, and aligning materials using hand and power tools
  • Commitment to job site safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe material handling
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various conditions
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with forepersons, contractors, and other crew members
  • Previous experience in construction or masonry and familiarity with local building codes is beneficial
  • Reliable transportation to the job site and willingness to work standard full-time hours, with occasional overtime as needed
