Fire & Water Restoration Technician

Pay: $23–$33/hr. (based on experience & certifications)

What You’ll Do

• Respond to fire, water, mold, and storm losses
• Perform water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, odor removal, and mold remediation
• Document damage, equipment readings, and daily progress
• Demolition and removal of building materials and debris
• Inventory, pack, clean, and move customer contents
• Clean floors, walls, carpets, and occasional furniture
• Maintain equipment and company vehicles
• Participate in rotating on‐call shifts (overnights/weekends; bonus eligible)
• Other duties as assigned

If you qualify for a Lead Technician position you will also:

• Conduct inspections and create drying/remediation plans
• Oversee field technicians and ensure protocol compliance

Requirements

• Technician: 1–3 yrs restoration or construction experience
• Lead Technician: 3–5+ yrs restoration; leadership preferred
• IICRC certifications and NYS Mold Remediation Technician license preferred (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working around water, sewage, mold, and contaminants (with PPE)
• Strong communication and customer service skills

A clean driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Experience

• Water damage restoration: 2 yrs (required)
• Fire restoration: 2 yrs (required)
